Finishing Brodie Helmet
After sanding down the surface, the next part is to then apply t-cut, which is a mustard yellow liquid, and buff, this process will reveal the metallic colour from the metal powder, which makes the overall helmet look like it is made from metal, like they would have been during the war.
Then it needed painting, however because its too smooth of a surface, it needed a layer of primer.
Once that had dried it could then be painted. Many of the images I researched showed that brodie helmets were typically green, so I used a green mixed with brown to make it more dull and earthy.
Ta-da!! 1 prop down...
